As Executive Director of Soventix Chile SpA since 2018, Jorge Taboada leverages his three decades of project development experience to lead significant renewable energy initiatives. At Soventix, he has overseen the development of utility-scale photovoltaic projects totaling 110 MWp, while managing medium-sized PV portfolios of 30 MWp and providing consultancy services for 200 MWp of solar projects.
His energy sector expertise includes managing feasibility studies for HidroAysén's 3,000 MW hydroelectric complex and leading pre-feasibility studies for a pioneering green hydrogen and ammonia project in the Antofagasta Region, supported by German cooperation agency GIZ.
With German postgraduate studies and trilingual capabilities, Taboada combines academic involvement at Chilean universities with extensive practical experience, establishing himself as a key figure in Chile's renewable energy sector, particularly in utility-scale solar development.
